Club Objectives

The objects of the Society are:

(a) To become and remain registered with the Guild.

(b) To further the interests of enrolled students.

(c) To assist new students with orientation to the University.

(d) To encourage and promote cooperation between the Society and other Student societies.

(e) To do all things that are necessary and proper for the benefit and advancement of the Society and the Guild.

(f) To provide a platform for creative and professional writers to publish their work in a supportive environment, and to build networks within the student writing community.

(g) To provide opportunities throughout the year for students to publish on our website, create on-campus zines, enter writing competitions, and work in groups to produce articles for outside publications.

(h) To provide opportunities for budding editors to work with student writers.

(i) To provide social events and guest speakers to help members make friends, share stories, and have a laugh.

(j) To provide a club for those studying Professional Writing and Creative Writing, as well as all Curtin students.
